SHANKEN APRIL 30, 2018 – Bob Dylan has collaborated with beverage alcohol investment group Spirits Investment Partners (SIP) to launch Heaven’s Door Spirits, a new collection of American craft whiskies. The range, which features whiskies from various distillers and blenders, comprises three inaugural offerings: a Tennessee Straight Bourbon, Double Barrel Whiskey from Tennessee, and a Straight Rye Whiskey finished in barrels from Vosges, France. Rolling out in mid-May, the Heaven’s Door whiskies will initially be available for purchase online and at retail across Tennessee, Texas, California, Florida, New York, and Illinois, priced at around $50-$80 a 750-ml. The Bootleg Series, a limited edition lineup of rare whiskey stocks and special blends, will join the core portfolio next year. The brand is also set to open a distillery and brand experience center in Nashville by 2019.

The Heaven’s Door project marks Dylan’s first-ever brand partnership. SIP CEO Marc Bushala, meanwhile, has helped spearhead a variety of ventures in the food and beverage space, most notably as a founding partner of Angel’s Envy Bourbon. Bushala and his partners sold Angel’s Envy parent company Angel’s Share Brands to Bacardi Ltd. in 2015.
